Turnover analysis
Organic growth accelerated in the third quarter with a 6.3% increase in turnover at constant scope.
Organic growth for France was 5.7% for the quarter. The performances of the Administration, Banking and Telecommunications divisions continued to be encouraging. The Oracle, SAP and Adonix ERP businesses are developing at a sustained pace. Our electronic payment systems (100 employees in France and 65 in Canada) and time management activities posted equally sound performances.
The group’s businesses in Spain, Portugal and Canada continue to record robust growth of over 10%. GFI will continue its investment programmes in these subsidiaries to ensure their future growth. Turnover in Italy followed the trend observed in the first two quarters, and the Group has obtained an agreement to the proposed restructuring programme.
The subsidiary in the United Kingdom has been sold in October following the Group decision to focus on its core markets.
Development strategy
GFI Informatique is continuing to invest in its offers and is looking to make selective acquisitions to strengthen its presence in the markets representing the Group’s greatest growth potential.
GFI Informatique is reinforcing its service centres, which represent an important growth area for the Group. The Business Intelligence centre in Lyon, the Dot. Net technology centre in Grenoble and the Morocco offshore platform are showing particular promise.
The Group has also launched a recruitment programme for high-potential managers to underpin this development.
As for growth through acquisitions, GFI Informatique can confirm that discussions for the takeover of the Adelior group are at an advanced stage. This acquisition would enable the Group to strengthen its French businesses considerably, as well as several of its offers, such as electronic payment systems, outsourcing and systems integration.
Financial reporting calendar
GFI Informatique will release its annual turnover for 2005 on 8 February 2006 after market close.
