GFI Informatique: New board appointments

 

At its meeting of 20 May 2009, the Board of Directors officially approved the nomination of Vincent Rouaix as chairman of the GFI Informatique Board of Directors, in accordance with the decision taken last March. Vincent Rouaix has been deputy CEO since March of this year.

The Annual General Meeting, also held on 20 May 2009, approved the nomination of two new GFI Informatique boad members:

  • Boussard & Gavaudan, represented by Alexis Chevrière,
  • William Bitan, an independent board member with professional experience in the area of IT services.

Expertise and professional background

Vincent Rouaix 

A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure des Travaux Publics, Vincent Rouaix has spent his entire career with international service groups. In 1986, he joined Logispace, which specialises in consulting and information systems, and rapidly became general manager and then Chairman and CEO. When Logispace became part of Cognicase in 1999, he was named general manager of Cognicase France. In 2001, Cognicase appointed him Executive Vice President and General Manager Europe.

Vincent Rouaix went on to create and develop the Adelior group with backing from reputed investment funds. After Adelior was taken over by GFI Informatique in January 2006, he was appointed Chief Operations Officer France until March 2009, when he was nominated as CEO. He is a board member since March 2006 and deputy CEO since December 2006.

Boussard & Gavaudan

Alexis Chevrière is responsible for Boussard & Gavaudan’s private equity activity. A graduate of École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) and holding an MBA from MIT-Sloan School of Management, he has spent most of his career at Goldman Sachs, within the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions activity, and with Sagard, a French midmarket private equity fund.

William Bitan

William Bitan began his career in 1968 with the finance division of the Sema group. In 1986, he was appointed director of management control of Sema Group Plc, and became chief financial officer and a member of the executive committee and board of directors in 1992. He was named chief operations officer in 2000 before moving in 2001 to Capgemini, where he was successively director of management control, chief financial officer and executive committee and board member for a number of the group’s subsidiaries.

Since 2005, he has been an independent consultant for international groups in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, financial communication and strategic planning.
